I recognise that deciding to seek counselling therapy can be a big step and so I strive to provide a safe, flexible and collaborative environment, having allowed the initial session to explore what life is like for you at the moment without trying to label it or to tell you how you should feel. With this joint approach established, we can then work towards your goals of therapy or change if you are ready to do so.
This is not exhaustive list. Please contact me to learn more.
Finding the right therapist is important, personal recommendations are helpful but when this is not available meeting a potential therapist helps also in making a decision, so please make contact for an initial consultation where you will have the opportunity to tell me your reasons for seeking counselling and I will explain how I work and what I can offer you. It may be your concerns arise from a specific identifiable issue that is troubling you at present. It could be a long term issue that has been worrying you for a long time, possibly years or it may be far more elusive where you can not pinpoint what it is but non the less it is causing dissatisfaction and discomfort in your life. Therapy can also be personal development and a desire to learn more about yourself as you progress through a life stage. It can also be a genuine curiosity about yourself...
